For many older condominium communities in Washington State, one of the most important governance issues over the next several years may not be whether the association formally “opts into” the Washington Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act — or WUCIOA — but whether the community is prepared for the legal and operational standards that are increasingly becoming unavoidable statewide.
